Email Filters Zip code
Some email programs will allow you to accept mail only from certain sources, or from only people you know. So, to make sure that you receive the information that you have requested from us, make sure that you either give us an email address with no mail filters, or make sure that you turn off the filters, or add us to the accepted list. If you would like a shipping rate estimate on any equipment, we need to know your delivery zip code.
Quality Delivery Type
We provide budget priced systems with normal technology, like single speed rotary compressors, with single speed air handlers and furnaces. We also provide higher priced equipment with cutting-edge technology, like scroll compressors, dual stage compressors, dual stage furnaces, variable speed air handlers and furnaces. If you are looking for a shipping rate estimate on any equipment, we need to know if we would be delivering to a commercial address, or a residential address. Shipping rates are lower for commercial deliveries. Liftgate trucks make delivery easier when there is no loading dock at the location. Carriers do charge around $40 extra to use one though.
Voltage Phase
In the USA, residential applications will either use 115 volts, or 230 volts. Commercial applications may use 208-230 volts, or higher. Be sure you know what you need. In the USA, residential applications will be "1" phase. Most small commercial applications will also be "1" phase, but larger applications may be "3" phase. Be sure you know what you need.
Energy/Heat Recovery Heating Method
Do you need a ventilation system that will exchange stale indoor air, with fresh outdoor air? Many options are available, like air quality sensors that turn on the ventilation equipment because it has sensed that your indoor air has contaminates in it. Dehumidification controls, timers, as well as modules that allow the system to tie in to and control your main air-conditioning or heating system, to provide fresh air to all areas of the space at once, using your ductwork. Northern climates generally use gas, or oil heat, because of high energy costs associated with electric heating. Southern climates generally use heat-pumps, or electric heat strips.
AC or Heat-Pump Condenser Tonnage
Northern climates generally use A/C coupled with a furnace for heating. Southern climates may use either a heat-pump or A/C with electric heat. Heat-Pumps cost more outright, but save energy during heating seasons, over standard electric heat strips. Based on the square footage of the space you need to condition, as well as the climate of your area and the sun/shade exposure. Be sure you know what size you need and do not undersize, or oversize your system, or you will not be comfortable. As a very general guide, residential projects usually take 1 ton per 400 to 500 square feet, while commercial spaces may use 1 ton per 200 to 400 square feet, depending on many factors.
AC Efficiency extra space
How much energy the system will use. 13 SEER is the current minimum efficiency, which uses the most energy. Older systems can be much lower than 13 SEER, with some in the area of 6 SEER. High efficiency models today are 13-23 SEER and provide even greater efficiency when they are used with a variable speed air handler or furnace. extra space
